Nob Hill

The cheerful clang of Powell Street cable cars running up and down steep hills sprinkled with mansions, elegant Edwardian apartments and glamorous high-rises infuse Nob Hill with old San Francisco charm. This genteel neighborhood is also home to some of San Francisco’s most beloved and beautiful landmarks, including Grace Cathedral and the Fairmont Hotel. Huntington Park, a popular spot for dog-owners, young families and other locals, is right across the street from the cathedral. You can dine at restaurants in the neighborhood or walk downtown for many additional choices. If you’re not up for tackling those hills, just hop a cable car or bus.
