Golden Gate Heights

As its name implies, the small community of Golden Gate Heights is situated ona hillside overlooking the city and coast. One of the last neighborhoods to be developed in San Francisco, its peaceful streets are stacked with modern mid-century homes. Many houses have big windows and decks so residents can savor views of the ocean, Golden Gate Bridge or the city.

You’ll find more ocean views, a hilltop sand dune and tree-lined paths at idyllic Golden Gate Heights Park. The stunning mosaic tile stairway that rises upto the park from 16th Avenue and Moraga is an example of Golden Gate Heights numerous community art projects. For your everyday shopping needs and more, head to nearby West Portal or the Inner Sunset.
