Crocker Amazon

This sprawling community on the southern outskirts of the city has a suburban flavor that makes it feel removed from the rest of San Francisco. The area gets lots of sunshine and offers many places for outdoor fun, including McLaren Park, the second largest park in the city. Here, you can play golf, hike, picnic and enjoy two small lakes. (Dogs are allowed off-leash and free to splash in the lakes.) The Jerry Garcia Amphitheater is also located in the park.

Homes in the Crocker Amazon/Southern Hills district run the gamut from Arts and Crafts, Victorian, Edwardian and Midcentury Modern styles. The neighborhood also boasts plenty of public transportation and easy access to I-280.
